Happy Groundhog Day from the Mount Holly Snow Flyers!
They say snowmobilers are a "strange breed"—and maybe they’re right! While everyone else is huddled inside dreaming of July, we’re out here checking the radar, polishing our sleds, and doing a literal snow dance.
We don't just endure winter; we live for it!
The Verdict: Groundhog Day 2026
Whether that famous furry meteorologist saw his shadow today or not, we’ve got news for you: In Mount Holly, the season is in full swing! Groundhog Day is all about predicting the arrival of spring, but honestly? We’re in no rush. We’re perfectly happy keeping the "six more weeks of winter" vibe going as long as the trails stay white.
Trail Report: 100% Groomed
Our grooming crew has been working overtime to
make sure the conditions are absolute perfection. As of today:
Trail Status: 100% Open & Groomed
Condition: Prime-time riding!
A Friendly Reminder: Ride Smart
To keep our trails open and our community safe, please remember the golden rules:
Ride Right: Stay on your side of the trail, especially on those blind curves.
Ride Respectfully: Our trails cross a lot of private land.
Keep the noise down near homes and be courteous to other riders.
Ride Slow: Speed kills the thrill. Enjoy the scenery and get home safe.
Let’s make the most of this winter wonderland
while it's here. See you out on the trails!

Trail Report - January 29, 2026
We had two volunteers in the woods all day today clearing the backside of
Okemo in an effort to help
Ludlow Side Hill Cronchers Snowmobile Club.
The snow was very deep in places and water bars are exposed also.
The Snow Flyer trails are 100% open and rideable.
Please be aware of trail conditions at all times.
Weather temps are cold again this weekend. Please ride with a buddy.
The Belmont General Store is open for lunch, beverages and snacks.
They have no gas at this time.
Stop by our sign board and patronize those who help sponsor our club.
Thank you volunteers for your help today!

Blue Skies & Smooth Fresh riding in the Southern Hills!
What a day to be a Snow Flyer! Our groomer, Ziggy, is out making the most of this gorgeous sunshine and the fresh powder we received on Monday. We are working hard to smooth this snow for your riding pleasure across the Southern Hills of Vermont.
Helping Hands & Community Spirit
It’s going to be a busy weekend with this fresh snow! We’re also proud to share that we are helping out our neighbors, the Shrewsbury Sno Birds, by covering their trails while their groomer is down for repairs. Snowmobiling is all about community, and we’re happy to keep the tracks smooth for everyone.
Safety First, Always
With cold temperatures sticking around through Monday, your safety is our top priority:
Ride Right: Stay on your side of the trail.
Keep Control: Keep your hands on your sled at all times.
Buddy Up: Never ride alone in these frigid temps—always bring a friend.
Landowner Respect: None of this is possible without our generous landowners. Please show them respect so we can keep these trails open!
Support the Club
Next time you’re out, take a moment to stop and look at our sign board. It’s a great way to stay informed on trail conditions and local news.

12-16" OF FRESH POWDER! ![]()
The news we’ve all been waiting for: Mother Nature just dumped 12–16 inches of fresh snow across the Mount Holly Snow Flyers trail system!
Our grooming guru, Ziggy, has been hard at work making sense of all that white gold. He spent yesterday smoothing out the Salt Ash side, and he’s currently out today tackling the southern trails.
Trail Conditions & Safety
It’s a winter wonderland out there, but please ride smart:
Watch for Water Bars: With this much heavy snow, some water bars may still be exposed or soft. Stay alert!
Ride Right: Stay on your side of the trail, especially on corners.
Hands on the Sled: Keep both hands on the bars at all times—safety first in the freshies!
Stay on Marked Trails: STAY ON TRAIL or stay home. Off-trail riding puts our landowner agreements at risk.
Respect & Support
Thank a Landowner: We wouldn't have a trail system without them. If you see a landowner while passing through a field or yard, give them a wave and a big "Thank You!"
Support the Club: Haven’t grabbed your TMA yet? Now is the time! Your TMA fees directly fund the equipment and fuel Ziggy needs to keep these trails pristine.
Stay safe, enjoy the freshies, and we'll see you out there!
Send us your photos!
